Constanza hails from Santiago, Chile. She has a B.A. in International Studies master’s in International Studies and a Ph.D. in American and International Studies from University of Santiago, Chile. She is a professor of International relations in several universities in Santiago - Diego Portales University, University of Chile, University of Santiago and Alberto Hurtado University -, and an Associate Researcher at the Center for Korean Studies and the Center for Asian Studies at the University of Santiago. Constanza serves as Counselor in the Chilean MFA´s Council of Foreign Affairs, and as a vicepresident of the Chilean Permanent Forum of Foreign Policy. Since 2017, she has been the local feminist community “Club de Té”, based in Santiago, which raises awareness and promotes feminist agendas, builds support networks, and fosters safe spaces through initiatives such as content creation, artistic projects, meetings, workshops, discussions, and activities open to the community.
Her research interests include international relations, foreign policy, Asian studies, East Asia (China, Japan, and the Korean Peninsula), cultural diplomacy, security and defense, feminism and international relations, and peripheral thought.
